We are a small family-run business with 20 years of wedding planning, event management, hospitality and venue experience. Our work ethos is simple really, taken from the famous quote by Perry Paxton: Excellence is in the details. When attention to detail is given, excellence will come. This is what we live by. Detail is everything to us, and we love to create a complete experience with our events – whether it’s a wedding, engagement, hen's or kitchen tea, birthday party, celebration, kid's birthday party, christening or baptism, a bar mitzvah or bat mitzvah, wedding anniversary, product launch or corporate event – attention to detail and being well organised are key.
Each and every event is equally as important as the next and just like you, all events are different and unique.

I'm Chantelle, creator and event director at Silk & Cedar Events.
I am South African born, living in Melbourne with my hunky Aussie hubby and two kiddies. I’m a lover of a good coffee, hater of a bad coffee and am fiercely meticulous (some like to say fussy!).
My love affair with weddings and events started over twenty (eeekkk!) years ago and continued to grow ever since. I cannot explain my #eventsloveaffair for weddings and events, except to say that I revel in the sheer joy I get when I see the excitement and appreciation in my clients when I deliver their event.
My philosophy has always been to give 100%. I have never been able to do things in half measures so I enjoy creating the complete experience with my events. This is exactly what Silk and Cedar Events is all about. My absolute passion is the overall event design and creating detailed events that embody my clients.
